Harmony, a puppy who was found on the brink of death by some VERY kind-hearted people, has been doing SO well. Here she is, snoozing in a comfy spot. She loves playing with other dogs, and has found her fur-rever home. Thank you to everyone who has kept up with the story on our Facebook page or has donated. It is truly appreciated!

**Due to our dogs and puppies being listed with other rescues in other states, we have a MANDATORY 2-day wait period so we can confirm the dog/puppy does not have anybody interested in them**

Our Featured Dog

Hi guys! My name is Mikko. I have been at the shelter with my two other siblings for at least 2 years now. That is such a long time! I am pretty shy, but I would love to get to know you! I am a sweet black and white Lab mix, and I am roughly 45 LBS. Look under the Girls tab to learn more about me! I hope you fall in love with me!

Preparing for Summer

Summer weather means long walks in the park with your furry friend, pup cups, and traveling with family. But, hot weather can be uncomfortable not only for us, but for dogs. Below are some tips to help keep your pup cooler than ever during the season.

  • -Give your dog a shady spot to hang out on hot days, or keep them inside with air conditioning

  • -Children's wading pools or dog pools are a great way for your dog to cool down

  • -Never leave your dog in a closed vehicle, inside temps can reach up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in just 20 minutes

  • - Avoid walking your dog on extremely hot days, take walks in mornings and evenings, and avoid the pavement if possible (if it is hot to you, its way too hot for your dogs feet)

  • - Dog breeds that have a short head/snout (Bulldogs, Boxers) have a hard time in the heat because their short snout prevents them from panting as efficiently as longer-nosed dogs, it would be best to keep them indoors as much as possible

Easy's Long Timers

We, at Easy's, do not believe in euthanizing dogs, no matter how long they have been here at the shelter with us. We believe that there is someone out there who will adopt every dog we have and will continue to save. Unfortunately, our long timers get overlooked constantly by the puppies we have. We want all of our dogs to find homes, but it is harder to get adults adopted. Here are a COUPLE of our long-time pups. Learn more about them by scrolling through our Dudes & Girls page.

This is Lil Mac, a beautiful black lab mix, who has been here with us for over a year and a half. He is in our main yard with dogs his size, but lately he has been very sad because he really wants a fur-ever home. He is roughly 50 LBS and is such a good boy. His adoption fee is $50.

Here we have Max, Mikko and Lil Mac's sibling. He has been with us for a year and a half. He, too, wants a home to call his own. He is shy, but very sweet. He is a black and white lab mix, around 50 LBS. His adoption fee is $50.
